Coast Guard Festival
A tribute to those serving in the United States Coast Guard, the Coast Guard Festival is an annual event offering a wide range of excursions and experiences. Perhaps the most popular week of the year, GH has a wonderful week packed full of parades, singing competitions, a carnival, and even fireworks. Whether it be going on the rides and getting cotton candy from a food truck, or listening to the live music on the waterfront, we can promise there is something to do for all ages.
Winterfest
This annual festival in January is filled with numerous events including a cardboard sled race, beer and wine tasting, family dog pull, and much more. You can also hit the slopes at the local Mulligan’s Hollow, or choose to run in your pajamas at the Sleepwalker Run.
Grand Haven Kite Festival
This free event includes colorful and enchanting kites roaming the GH beach. There are even visits from world-famous stunt kite fliers and kites larger than a school bus at the festival. You are welcome to bring your own kite or try one of the newest one’s on the manufacturer’s field.
Holland Tulip Festival
This Spring festival is just 20 minutes from Grand Haven. Not only are there endless fields of beautiful and vibrant flowers (over 5 million), but there is plenty of art shows, live entertainment, Dutch Dance performances, and a carnival. This event caters to all ages and is a popular attraction for those wishing to get outdoors and explore West Michigan.
