Pollie’s home was absolutely perfect. I was traveling with 4 kids (ages 5-14), and the home had more than enough room-in fact we had an additional couple with their kid join us for a day and still had room. The home itself had EVERYTHING you would need, we ate almost every meal for 5 days at the house and the kitchen and outdoor grill lacked nothing! There are grocery stores within a 5 minute drive or farmers markets within walk-in distance if you time your stay right. The house is more spacious than pictures can provide and the outdoor space looks, as the 14 said, like a perfect outdoor sitcom stage. We spent hours enjoying the outdoor dining table, ping pong, corn hole, nerf guns, and even borrowed tennis equipment for a morning and used the volleyball at the beach. When we did venture out to eat, Pollie had great recommendations. Pollie and Mike were fantastic hosts who were a delight to talk with, retired principals who love Michigan. You can walk a block to watch the evening fountain lights, get ice cream or visit a coffee shop. We are already discussing next year’s trip and getting to see Mike and Pollie’s boat. Best Airbnb experience ever!

The Carriage House is an adorable free-standing structure set back from the road with all of the touches of home. The loft has 5 beds and was perfect for our teenagers, but would also be great for adults because the beds are big and there are half walls to provide a bit of privacy. Everything was fresh & clean & there were fun touches throughout from local stores. The location was perfect - so close to everything downtown & the boardwalk with an easy walk to the pier and Lake Michigan. We even walked to the farmer's market. Mike & Pollie were the perfect hosts - there when we had questions and were so kind. We will definitely return if we can get a reservation because once people see this place it's bound to be booked forever! We highly recommend it.

Thank you for your amazing hospitality during this year’s Anchorage Cup. The Grand Haven Carriage House and your kind welcoming was beyond our expectations. The House is so well appointed, the location was very convenient, and acted as a great crew meeting spot. The coffee and avocado toast got us off to the race to Holland with full and grateful bellies! Please put us on your calendar for next year!
